With China's dominate role in the world's politics and economy, China gains more discourse power than before. On considering this, more and more nations and regions realize the importance of Chinese in communication. They offered Chinese classes home and also send a lot of students studying Chinese in China. But with the great need of Chinese learning, the teachers home or abroad cannot fulfill the vacancy as needed. Under this circumstance, computer assisted Chinese provided a new way and media for learning Chinese. Blog, as one of the new techniques and products in the computer world, provides an open platform for the experiments in the field of computer assisted language learning with its distinctive feature:easy to handle and interactivity.Meanwhile, within the study of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, many experts proposed the idea of applying cooperative learning into the Chinese teaching to foreigners. Thus it provides a new approve into teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Guided by this theory, some teachers in this field gained much in their teaching Chinese.But few studies focus on the mutual characteristics of Blog and cooperative learning theory and combine this two in their study and teaching. Based on this, the thesis will focus on the research of application of Blog in teaching Chinese as a foreign language under the guidance of cooperative learning theory. It will discuss Blog and cooperative learning theory in details, study their mutual characteristics in teaching and put forward the rules and mode of applying Blog in the teaching of Chinese.The thesis will be divided into five parts. The first introduction part will give out the research status, meaning and methods of this topic; then the second chapter will focus on the abutting joints of Blog and cooperative learning covering the two definitions, their individual characteristics and possibilities of joints of the two. The third part will give a detailed study on the rules and principles of applying Blog in Chinese teaching. The forth part will provide a mode for Blog in teaching Chinese as a foreign language in the context of cooperative learning. The last chapter will be the conclusion part, analyzing the findings and its features and providing ideas for further study in this field.
