A Study Of Feiming's Poetry Theory

The research object of this article is Feiming's poetry theory. It focuses on core proposition of Feiming's Poetic Theory——new poetry should have "poetic content" and "prose form". Around this core proposition, this article is based on the work of sorting information out. This article is divided into three chapters:"poetic content","in the prose form" and "the value of Feiming's poetic theory".In the first chapter, we discuss what is "poetic content".In Feiming's view,it means that new poetry must have plenty of emotion. Feiming asked the emotion of new poetry is "present", and "complete" and the performance of the poet's soul. The present, emphasizing the feelings of poetry is generated by a moment. Complete requires the emotional of poetry texts is the same with what it is in the moment of inspiration arrival emotions and can't be deliberate processing. Emotion which is present and completeness, Expression the most real emotions of the poet and is the performance of the poet's soul.In the second chapter, we turn to "prose form". "The prose form" is requirements to poetry text by Feiming. It means that the poetry text must be written in modern Chinese language, and in the form it has no fixed format. At the same time the poetry can arouse the reader's imagination. The goal of" prose form" is to convey to readers the "poetic content" as complete as possible. In Feiming's eyes, "poetic content" must be expression in the way of "prose form" while "prose form" is for the complete performance of "content of the poem".In the third chapter, we are concerned the value of Feiming's poetic theory. Feiming believes that the essence of new poetry lies in its poetic content while the essence of old poetry lies in its poetic forms. In another word,value judgements of new poetry and old poetry is two different things. This doesn't allow the old poetry relied on its poetic form and long tradition to evaluation even deny the new poetry. At the same time, "content of the poem" is the fundamental difference of the new poetry with other literary styles. "poetic content" and "prose form" are requirements of The beauty and the free expression of poetiy. Feiming's poetry theory find the differences between modern poetry and the old-style poetry as well as the new poetry and other literary styles in new perspective. Therefore,new poetry more conducive to get a better position in literary history and in the literary field.
