During the pre-Qin period, the oral communication has beendeveloped from spoken language to written language.At the beginning, the author summarized the oral communication history and as a kind of spoken language, the canvassing activity, analyzed the influence to formation of canvassing document. The paper discovered that the background of the times profoundly influenced the media and the strategies, which the strategist possessed:strategists. Articulative and persuasive scholars sometimes made such successful speeches to allure emperors by moving, encouraging words. Thus, they have been in large scale by the emperors of various states and therefore, the formation and development of canvassing style in ancient China has begun.The fundamental connotation conveyed in"canvassing"is speech act, which is characterized by its oral form. Speech act has gradually developed in a comparatively stable procedure, and finally a style, which specifically named canvass, formed.Therefore, in the first part, based on the original meaning of "canvassing", the author analyses the origin and development on the act of "canvass", andanalyses the social background and cultural origins of canvass in Warring States period.They are intellect and elites, widely knowledgeablecovering a distinctively wide range from astronomy to geography, from the general trend of the current world to the social customs and cultures of princedoms and duchies. Who's, during that epoch,because their principal character depends on knowledge themselves.The second part, during the Warring States Period, regional and cultural development and the system was linked to the closure of the country, forming a seal for the geographical boundaries of the country to the colonial culture and the local indigenous culture, characterized by combining the new local culture. Academic in its development process with the local geographical and cultural, political and economic policy and other factors combine together to form. Academic centers in the Warring States period in their cultural and geographical factors such as fully integrated and form their own academic characteristics.
