| Animation was invented in 1831, which has gone though 180 years and it has transformed from a simple physical phenomenon into an art of visual image that attract millions of people. Animation has been admitted and spread within the world as a unique way of art and culture. With the technologies and the involvement of the thinking pattern of creation of painting literature music drama and computer, animation developed rapidly, and produced many new styles of animation. Animation film as a special film product which meet the people's need of releasing psychological pressure under long time tension, plays a more and more important role in today's movie field.This paper will study mainly the positive images in Chinese animation movies and by analyzing the representative positive images in Shanghai Animation Film Studio's award-wining films interpret the rich cultural content in these images. And finally find the evolution of the positive images of new China's animation films.In this paper the author picked the 23 classical award-wining films of Shanghai Animation Film Studio's during 1957 to 1994 to be studied. According to the development context the author divided this period into 3 sections, and finally analyzed the evolution of the positive images from films of Shanghai Animation Film Studio.This paper consists five parts.The first part Introduction looks back on Chinese animation's birth in republic China, the development after founding of new China to become mature and unique. And describes China's development of animation in the macro way.The second part concerns about the context of the creation and the exploring of positive images by Shanghai Animation Film Studio during 1957-1965 when the studio was first founded, raises examples of representative images'good points and at last reaches an conclusion. The third part looks back simply on the special period of Cultural Revolution from 1966-1976 by analyzing the overall characteristics and at the same time analyzes and concluded the effects.In the forth part the author discussed the creation of animation from after the Cultural Revolution to 1994, and pays more attention on comparing the differences in personality of positive images before and after the Cultural Revolution. The author also discusses the reasons of the diversity of positive images.The fifth part -conclusion- concludes the achievement of Shanghai Animation Film Studio in creating animation characters and the building of positives images and analyzes the reasons of the evolution of positive images under the influence of politics economic culture and popular aesthetics objectively.This paper gets materials by means of not only documents pictures movies and also field trips. The author seeks to make up the blankness of study of creation of images in our country and expand the boundary of the study of Chinese animation. And the author also wants to draw scholars'attention in this field in order to provide some reference value for the future development of Chinese animation. |
