Dong nationality's culture has its challenges at present.how the school-based Dong's music education answer to this and make good use of it to accomplish its modernization? The paper based on the field work of Dong nationality and combined the inheriting course of Dong nationality culture to conclude that it is inevitable, essential and reasonable for Dong nationality culture to take advantage of information technology to protect and inherit its culture. Then the paper makes a bold conclusion:information technology inheriting will take the charge of school-based Dong nationality culture education. Finally, the constructive strategy is formed for primary and middle school's Dong music education on the basis of the conclusion.The paper is composed of four parts.part One mainly illustrated the research questions, the former research and its basic standpoint,importance and research methodologies of the research issue.part two discovered the barrier and the deficiency of Dong nationality's music education according to the field work and analysis in Yiping,Cong river(county) and Rong River(county). it include traditional way of Dong nationality's music education which mainly focus on teacher, so the teaching pay little attention to creating context and art environment. Students learned by rote and trained by mechanically repetition, with the teaching method.the Dong nationality music education attach little importance to era and the student's viewpoint of Dong nationality music art in Dong song and school-based curriculum teaching method will be not good for cultivating inheritor. this part, based on the learning capability, creativity and positivity of information technology, discussed the necessity and the rationality of taking advantages of information technology to protect Dong nationality's culture in school. Part three systematically analyzed the inheriting course which involves traditional chorus of Dong nationality mode, modern organization mode, school-based Dong nationality culture education and the coming information-technology based inheriting mode. and then creatively conclude that modern school-based Dong culture education will pick at the mode and route of information technology inheriting which focus on network, computer technology and multimedia technology. On the ground of field work and demonstration of Dong nationality's culture. It is of great importance that protection and inheriting strategy based on information technology. For this reason, the part four raised five guidelines:further enrich Dong nationality's teaching resources, enhance the training of Dong teacher, offer and apply more teaching method and training means, build the digital environment of Dong music and manage the music resources and its education with the help of information technology.It is very short of applicative research for school-based Dong nationality culture education to take advantage of information technology, even the fundamental research.more attention is needed in Dong nationality's culture protection.
