A Study On The Narrative Functions Of Culture Symbols In

The "leonardo Da Vinci code phenomenon" and the "Dan brown cyclone" caused by a series of novel written by American civilial writer Dan·Brown have influenced greatly on the whole global.Meanwhile,the research on Dan·Brown's novel is also gradually warming.Many critics and readers think Dan·Brown's novel as pleasant knowledge suspense novel which can tempt readers to hold their breath to pursue this plot for delight.However, Dan·Brown's novel brought readers with far more than these. If we analyzes the special cultural symbols in the novel from the internal text, from the permutation and combination research to the aesthetic effect research,we can find that the great fun brought by the readable text This thesis can be mainly divided into three chapters.The first chapter basically analyze the narrative strategy of the horizontal and the longitudinal symbols in < Da Vinci Code > from the perspective of symbols and semiotics.ChapterⅡmainly analyze the story and the plot mode of< Da Vinci Code>.The third chapter mainly studys the narrative aesthetic effect of symbols in the < Da Vinci Code > from the transmissive perspective.
