A Research On Song Chao Shi Shi

Song Chao Shi Shi was compiled between the two Song dynasty by Li You. It mainly recorded the laws system of the northern Song dynasty. The versions that we used now is from the Si Ku Quan Shu which was from the Yong Le Da Dian of Ming by the minister of SiKu house.Though with a high historical source value, Song Chao Shi Shi is seldom researched by the scholars in the academic study. This article tries to reveal the historical value of Song Chao Shi Shi through three chapters.The preface introduces the reasons of this article's title, the nowadays study situation of Facts in Song Chao Shi Shi and and what I write this article for.The first section overviews of the author and the basic situation of Song Chao Shi Shi . Firstly it introduces Li You's life, rank of the official and the other writings. The next section describes the spreading process of Song Chao Shi Shi , existing versions and writing date.Finally based on the content of Song Chao Shi Shi . I shall describe its writing background.The second chapter begins with the historical source. There are four passages altogether. In the first passage I shall research the historical relationship between Song Chao Shi Shi and officials'writing history ,and put forward its main historical source is the memoir, meeting record etc .The second passage compares Song Chao Shi Shi with the literal sketches of Northern Song, and point out another source of Song Chao Shi Shi is notes. The third passage compares the historical source of peppers in Northern Song with Song Chao Shi Shi. The fourth passage compares Song Chao Shi Shi with Yang Shi Bian Nian and other books which may be the historical source of Song Chao Shi Shi too.Chapter 3 is divided into three parts, focusing on the analysis and discussion of gains and losses of Song Chao Shi Shi. Sectionâ… is about the research on the historical value of Song Chao Shi Shi. This value is mainly embodied in its keeping a part of precious historical data. It can be used to verify and compile The History of Song and other books. The next section is about the value of difference exist, which compares the difference of date, official order, number, etc in Song Chao Shi Shi and other books. The third section discusses the book from two aspects: one is the problems of historical issues, like word mistakes, or mistakes of official ranks and mistakes of time; the other one is compilation problems, such as inconsistent in style, detail, content etc.
