Developing students'emotion is an important target in the new round of elementary education reform. In China, there are large group of adolescences who are thought to be the future of the country. The study of adolescences'emotional intelligence is of great significance. However, there is still a lot of controversy in the field of emotional intelligence study which has been developed more than 20 years. What's more, especially the study on the structures and features of adolescences'emotional intelligence is not very common, and the conclusions of present research are inconsistencies and there is plenty of controversy about it. Investigating highly customized adolescences'emotional intelligence questionnaires can provide the basis for theoretical research and education practice and is an urgent task.According to this background and Professor Lu Jiamei's theory about youths'affective quality, the research reviewed and summarized previous study, collected mental and behavior expression forms in adolescences'daily life by different approaches and developed the Adolescence's Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire which including 5 factors, such as emotional infection, emotional cognition, emotional experience, emotional evaluation and emotional adjustment. The questionnaire uses self-report measures and is indicated with good reliability and validity. Based on the Adolescence's Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire, the investigation covered 9 cities and attached suburban and included more than 20 thousands adolescence students. The purpose is to reveal the situation and feature of the emotional intelligence of Chinas contemporary adolescences. The result shows that: adolescences'emotional intelligence is generally positive, but still needs to be improved; the development of each factor is imbalanced and emotional experience is stronger while emotional infection and emotional adjustment are weaker. There is a structural difference existing between males and females. The teacher-student relationship and the enthusiasm of teachers'classroom teaching play important roles in the development of youth's emotional intelligence. As for the school, it does not matter very much whether the school is a key school or not, or where it is located. Others, such as the adolescences'grade, academic record and education degree of parents have little impact. Finally, the paper provides some rationalization proposal about how to develop adolescences'emotional intelligence.
