Research On The Creation Process Of FengShenyanyi

The Legend of Gods was written in later Ming Dynasty, it is a masterpiece of historical supernatural spirit romantic novels. It is with a long history and great influence. The researches on this novel, however, are rare, and less than the researches on other Ming and Qing novels. As far as the writing of The Legend of Gods is concerned, some famous experts such as Sun Kaidi and Liu Cunren have made a thorough study and some scientific opinions are proposed. Based on these findings, spanning from historical facts to the contemporary works, a strand of the writing of this novel is made, and the features of its writing are shown.The whole thesis can be divided into two parts:Chapter one serves to discuss the functions of the historical facts and literary creation in the writing of The Legend of Gods. As far as the historical facts are concerned, three historical writings are adopted to illustrate the issue. At the perspective of literary creation, The story that King Wu cut down Zhou and the first volume of Biography of the States are selected, their relationship are study with the method of close reading. Finally, it comes back to creative gist of the novel, and the writing features of The Legend of Gods are analysed through discussing the writing purposes.In considering thatThe Legend of Gods is a supernatural spirit novel, Chapter two is designed to trace back its origin from the perspective of deity. According to the evolutions of the gods in The Legend of Gods, they are divided into three types to show the formation. This thesis mainly adopts the method of text close-reading to study the writing of The Legend of Gods. One of the innovation lies on the fact that the relationship between Historical Records and The Legend of Gods is summarized and the influence of the former upon the latter; secondly, at the ending part, the critical influences of the writing thought are pointed out, and a conclusion is reached that the author of the novel was faithful to his country thoroughly; third, from the perspective of deity, another writing feature of The Legend of Gods is illustrated.
