Research On The Relationship Between Self-Esteem And Aggression

The relationship between self-esteem and aggression has always been a hot spot in the psychology research. Today, along with the rising teenage crime in our society,more and more people begin to focus their attention on the aggression of teenagers .On the basis of Previous research,this study selected junior high school students in different regions of henan,discuss the characteristics of self-esteem and aggressive in junior high school students and the relation between the self-esteem and aggressive.Meanwhile, to understand the influence of article variable to he relation between the self-esteem and aggressive.To collect the sample data in the help of questionnaire-investigation,and adopt the SPSS16.0 for the T-test,ANOVA,the correlation analysis and regression on the base of sample data.The results of this study are as follows:⑴The self-esteem of Junior high school student is in intermediate level.There is a remarkable difference in the self-esteem level between grade, school achievements, parents relations, classmate welcome degree; There is no remarkable difference in the self-esteem level in the different gender and one-child or not.⑵The form of aggression in Junior high school student is primary indirect aggression.There is a remarkable difference in the aggression level between different gender ,grade, school achievements, parents relations, classmate welcome degree; There is no remarkable difference in the aggression level between one-child or not.⑶The self control ability of Junior high school students is well. There is a remarkable difference in self control between different gender .There is a remarkable difference in the self control ability between grade, school achievements.⑷The peer relationship of Junior high school students is well. The difference in peer accept is significantly. There is a remarkable difference in peer relationship between grade, school achievements, classmate welcome degree.⑸Self-esteem, self-control has a significant negative correlation with aggression; Peer rejection has a significant negative correlation with aggression. Self-esteem, self control has a significant prediction in aggression.⑹Self-control plays a intermediary role in the Self-esteem and aggression. Peer relationship plays a moderary role in the Self-esteem and aggression.
