A Study On The Application Of Graffiti Art In Graphic Design

The Information era speeds apace. The melting of the human culture faces to omnibearing prospect. On the tiptop of this development, we can easily find that the hip-hop culture which originated from Black culture pays world'much attention by its unique and fashionable charming. Meanwhile, it makes a great impact on the pop culture all over the world. As an integral part of the hip-hop culture, graffiti, the new visual performance way becomes popular cultural symbol and be promoted widely. Early stage of development, graffiti did not make public a scene of art form. With the rapid development of globalization, graffiti art rushed into its new opportunity. Graffiti art spreads to every corners of the world after it is created through the internet. On the other side, this widely spread promotes graffiti art on style and technology. Over years, graffiti has gradually occupied the mind of the audience. A famous philosopher Sartre's saying is"Only in the state does man have a rational existence". The reason of why graffiti art swept the world is its voice of this multicultural modern city. For the general public which are living in the information era, street culture become one part of their lives gradually by its dynamic, fashionable cool style .As a way of visual expression, graffiti art gradually integrated with the business, and be more used by designers as the design of the products, getting involved into public life directly. Like any other countries, designers are the fonder and learner of the graffiti art in China. After graffiti art is digested, it give birth to a unique and localized style.According to the research and analyse of graffiti art, also the relationship between graffiti and other prevailing culture, this thesis try to expatiate the influence which graffiti have made in graphic design in China. Especially to find the ways and means how graffiti can be used in graphic design. This paper is also about the impact made by traditional graffiti which as an exotic, has already syncretized with local culture. As well, how the local designers learn and use the successful experience from foreign culture while the graffiti localization is progressing has been expatiated amply on local condition basis.
