Cultural identity means that the creation inclination is of a certain art form or the content reflects a certain social group or class, which reflects its artistic tastes, values pursuit, social ideals, and interest demands. Affected by the multicultural background and people's complex demands for arts, contemporary comedy sketches show a complex cultural identity."Contemporary"usually refers to the period from 1949 until today from the historical point. However, since this passage is a study of the development of the cosmic sketches, here it means the period from 1978, the year of reform and opening to the outside world (especially after comedy sketches were introduced to the stage of Spring Festival Party) until today. This passage aims to research the complex cultural identity of comedy sketches during this period.With the development trend of comedy sketches in nearly thirty years in a multicultural age as a clue, the passage researches cosmic sketches of the past years (mainly sketches performed on the Spring Festival Party stage) and their cultural identity complexity. Reasons of complexity, artistic presentation of complexity, passive impacts of complexity on arts, and several pieces of suggestions on the future development of sketches will be researched in details and will be put up.The introduction mainly analyses the meaning of cultural identity and how essential the study of the comedy sketch cultural identity is. Chapter One illustrates reasons for the cultural identity complexity of comedy sketches. In modern times, the trend that multiple cultures mix with each other takes form, which has an influence on comedy sketches to show a complex cultural identity. This chapter studies reasons for the complex cultural identity of comedy sketches from three points: multicultural patterns, people's complex demands for arts, multiple restrictions on the creation of short acts.Chapter Two discusses the specific artistic expressions of comedy sketches'complex cultural identity, which is the major section of this passage. The specific expressions discussed here include multiple and complicated themes, the conversion of the watching perspective, the diversity of comedy sketch aesthetic effect, based on which we can discuss the specific artistic expression of the complexities of Sketch cultural identity.Chapter Three mainly discusses the passive impacts of the complex cultural identity on comedy sketches. Multicultural concerns enrich the themes, the styles, and the expressions of comedy sketches, which enhances largely the entertainment value and the spirit value of comedy sketches. However, multicultural concerns also bring about some bad influences such as blur images, complicated narration words, and uncompleted narrations.Chapter Four is the mainly discussion of methods for better development of future comedy sketches and several immature suggestions based on these passive influences. The author puts forward some proposals on the future development of comedy sketches mainly from the following aspects: training creation talents, changing performance stages, optimizing creation environment and creating comedy sketches which are close to life and reflect the real life.0n the basis of the predecessors'study results of comedy sketches, the author takes a new look at comedy sketches in the multicultural background and researches the complex cultural identity and impacts. Based on these problems discovered in the development of comedy sketches, the author puts forward several suggestions, in the hope of helping creators and performers broaden their minds and promote the healthy development of contemporary comedy sketches.
