Research On Controversy Over Historicism And Class Viewpoint

Since the introduction of Marxism in China, many Historians have applied it to research historical facts. The controversy over theoretical questions in Chinese history circle from 1958 to the mid-1980s were derived from an extensive controversy over Historicism and class viewpoint in the 1960s. Although there was no a perfect ending in this controversy, application the Historicism and class viewpoint as a general and scientific method to observe and analyze the historical issues has been accepted by most historians. The thesis explores definition, connotation and relationships of the Historicism and class viewpoint thoroughly and comprehensively, then puts emphasis on analyzing viewpoints, their collision and subsequent rheology between a group headed by Jian Bozan, Ning ke and another group headed by Lin Gang-quan, also outlines exploration and discussion on the Historicism and class viewpoint to further understand the theory of Marxism and history.
