| English teaching method has drawn wide attention since it came into being. With China's reform and opening-up, English teaching method is on its way to reformation. English learning and teaching depends on the interaction between students and teachers, hence, affective factors have a deep influence in the English learning and teaching, especially English listening learning and teaching. As English listening learning and teaching relates to listening and speaking, therefore, communication between students and teachers is of top priority.Based on empirical study, the thesis analyses some critical affective factors that impact English listening learning and teaching, and elaborates how those affective factors influence English listening learning and teaching.The thesis consists of four parts. The introduction part gives a brief explanation of some affective factors, including self esteem, inhibition, risk taking, anxiety and motivation. And then the thesis analyzes the unique features of English listening learning and teaching, as well as the influence of affective factors on English listening learning and teaching. The last part is an empirical study, which further proves the analysis.Chapter two discusses the unique features and significance of English listening learning and teaching.Chapter three focuses on affective learning and teaching, and the influence of affective factors on English listening learning and teaching.Chapter four is an empirical study, by which the theory of this thesis is proved.The conclusion is the summary of all the aspects mentioned above. It elaborates the specific influence of affective factors on English listening learning and teaching. And it proves that the proposed theory is reasonable. At last, it puts forward the realistic importance of the research on English listening learning and teaching, and provides some effective suggestions. |
