Research On Package Design For Children Based On Barrier Design

Along with TV news about children's accidently injury these years, the rate of occurrence increase each year and it give great hurt to family and society. Packaging issue became the main reason for it.At the same time, children's consumption took a large quotient in packaging market. Along with packaging industry's flying development in china, packaging design is updating continually and become more and more humanity. But there are many problems on our current design, and most of companies pay too much attention on packaging design's decoration, shape and other exterior factors which is closer to companies'principle-economic benefit. They ignored packaging's real intention and person's ethical performance. On the fact of configuration, color and human nature, they always pursue packaging's convenience and comfort but overlook the security factor and children's mental and physical feeling. Hence, after many packaging cases'investigation and analysis in this article, author figure out the method of barrier design on packaging which can restrict and regulate children's performance, and try to resolve our current security problem in children's packaging design.The barrier design in children's packaging is based on the Security theory and it create new design way and thought for new version's children packaging design.The dissertation analyses that some security promblems have existed for application of children's packaging design at present, first of all, this thesis discussed the relevant principles of barrier design and researched safety requirements of packaging design. Secondly, analysing basic elements of barrier design in children's packaging, such as the three factors of psychological characteristics of children, visual and touch impact and safety, in addition, it provided some principles of barrier design in children's packaging design. Finally, it improved the packaging design for children in terms of researching the cases of children's food, pharmaceutical of barrier design in packaging design,. With the case of "packing of bottle cap", using methodology of barrier design to guide packaging design in this thesis. The approached principles will promote the development and improvement of packaging design, reduce the incidence of children's accident, it is a best way to provides a new designing method for children's packaging design.
