Tai Ping Guang Ji is a category of the four at the beginning of Song Dynasty, including the novels of all the dynasties before Song. It contains a lot of thoughts, especially the understanding of life and human beings. From the macroscopic view, and the intentions of the categories of the book, this paper will analyze kinds of the stories of each category, from the level of life, the construction of life, the eternity of life, the dominator of life, the rule of life to exist, and the way to change the status of life. According to this, this paper is divided into five chapters besides introduction and conclusion.The introduction mainly describes the research of the book for the time being, and the importance of the research of the book. Chapter one, from the feature of the category, analyzes the different luxuriant lives of people, according to the life features of'god','human being', 'ghost','object and monster'. Chapter two, based on the analysis of the construction of life (the body and spirit), analyzes the connotation of eternal life through transmigration in the story of the book. Chapter three analyzes the authority of fate, through the stories concerned with fate and physiognomy determined by fate, and it also analyzes the influence of fate to people. Chapter four analyzes the refraining of life controlled by karma, and further explains the karma and fate. It also contains the concept of equality of all kinds of life and the standard of morality of human beings. Chapter five summarizes the ways to change the status of future life. And it focuses on the connotation of changing fate through doing good deals and raising morality. And finally the conclusion analyzes the whole features of the view of life, its formation and the influence to people afterwards.This paper expounds the views of life in Tai Ping Guang Ji in system. The paper focuses on the connotation of the book, the meaning of the arrangement of the category. It shows the real views of life of the book with objectivity and respect. And it reveals the deep connotation of the traditional Chinese culture.
