Sketch picture is one kind of images, and carries on thinking process through media to describe module information related to objects. The information transmission process makes visual images of sketch have text features of word language. Research of schema language of sketch is virtually the definition of sketch itself and the study of model cognitive method with the purpose to supply styling design with cognitive model and methods. It also deepens the understanding and cognition of sketch to bring forth the references for teaching.Based on discussion of graphics language in philosophy, the processing of model cognitive and expression is analyzed in the view of cognitive psychology, and the visual perception, thinking process and expression are also established. Structuralism linguistics method is used to generalize the language structure of sketch images in practice of sketch modeling. The expression of characters of symbols and systems are illustrated using semeiology and psychology. The exerted language feature from sketch which carries on cognitive activities is ascertained. Through the analysis of thought, creation and consciousness during art design, the instruction effect of consciousness to art design and the relationship between sketch modeling cognitive activity and design consciousness are finally brought out. At last, cognitive model in schema language theory of sketch is proved to be with feasibility and practicability through the analysis of snow sculpture modeling practice.The text system of sketch graphics language is studied deeply, and some opinions about the current status of sketch theory in China are also put forward.
