The Poisonwood Bible, published in 1998, is Barbara Kingsolver's latest long novel. This thesis mainly interprets five women's growth in The Poisonwood Bible from the perspective of Ecofeminism. Raised and influenced by male-centered patriarchal society, women are in a subordinated situation in both family life and social life. And this subordinated situation makes them realize that they and nature are at the bottom of society, and they are the objects of being slaved and oppressed. Together with nature, they accept the challenge and struggle to success. These women's growth shows that only if they continue to struggle with nature, can they win freedom, can their relationship with men and the relationship between human beings and nature achieve harmony. Therefore, the whole society can become an equal and harmonious society.
