The Research Of "Qilin" Magazine

As one of the representatives of the biggest and broadest popular literary journals in puppet Manchuria,"Qilin"magazine exits from June,1941 to March,1945 in Xinjing. With the precipitation of 70 years history, the contents and photos published in"Qilin"gives us a great deal of valuable historical materials.Popular literature and art during Puppet could faithfully recorded the developments and changes of the publication in its time.This paper tries to analyze and study from the professional perspective of journalism and communication. By overview the original text of the magazine from 1941 to 1945, and analyzing the characteristics and content characteristics based on reading a rich historical materials, the writer discovers that the special historical period of the puppet Manchukuo, the magazine compiled the main idea of burning a unique and inspiration for today literary journals, while allowing us to better understand and master the development of landscape ever popular literary journals in Manchukuo period.The introduction of this paper is a brief introduction of the"Qilin"and the academic profile of the of the situation, it can be divided into four chapters.The first chapter introduces the"Qilin"and the relevant circumstances.It introduces that the magazine was launched in Manchukuo period, as well as the development of socio-cultural and literary journals profiles in northeast of Manchukuo period.Secondly, the founder and editors o"fQilin"are introduced, by reading the foreword and edit postscript,to analyze the unique purpose of the magazine.The second chapter discusses the layout and distribution of the magazine, and trying to find the unique of the magazine.The third chapter analyzes the contents features of"Qilin".The main column, and content features are both discussed. The service column not only provides readers with unparalleled wealth of practical knowledge, and also guides and educates the readers. Topics of women in different age categories tailors to their female readers with interesting stories, and accumulates their life experience. These contents are all showed being accepted by readers from the feedback.In addition, as"Qilin"was found by a Japanese in the period of Manchukuo, and to the colonial policy and rules of publishing industry, there are articles of beautifying the authority more or less.It can be found that in the dissemination of ideas the editors are compiled with the two sides, on the one hand they have to achieve the commercial purpose of profit, while on the other hand, they also to serve for the puppet politics,too.In the fourth chapter, this paper discusses the historical position and the reality of china in"Qilin". Through analysis and discussion with relative works,"Qilin"is located as a representative popular literary journal in the Manchukuo. Finally, this paper proposed the enlightenment on the significance of modern journals through the summary of experiences and lessons.It analyzes the communication effects of"Qilin"in conclusion. Although the purpose of founding"Qilin"is meeting the necessary of readers and pleasing the Puppet Regime, the result can only achieve the one.
