The Psychological Motivation Study On Buddhist Students

Religion is an ancient but universal social phenomenon. In the surface religion appears as a mysterious and supernatural power, to which people believes that dominate the universe and human society and thus awed by the power. In essence religion is the a kind of social conscience and phenomena. Engels has defined religion thoroughly in :"all religions are just illusion of reality that reflected in people's mind. In the reflection the profane power adopts a supernatural way."Religious belief is a specific group of followers hold as doctrine, which guides their life and behavior. On theoretical level, Marxism is scientific atheism. College students are staging on a particularly important period of acquiring a correct outlook on world, life and values. Using upright ideology and scientific theories to guide their development is of vital importance for the socialism cause.In addition, in real life, more and more religious believers, especially the young students showed great interest and enthusiasm to religion, and they often take the initiative to contact and access to specific religion, and consciously act in accordance with teachings of religious.The religious doctrines really touched deep into the depths of their minds.As we spare no effort to promote Marxism in the ideological and political education, however not very effective,thus the research and analysis of religious appeal to students seems urgent. This thesis made an in-depth investigation and comprehensive analysis of the motivation of students' joining religion, and on base of which proposed new path and methods to strengthen and improve university students's scientific religious outlook in the new era.This study based on the qualitative research method and document analysis, the religious belief with college students buddhists motive for the breakthrough, chose Beijing universities different age levels, different professional background 10 college students the buddhist believers in depth interview analysis, philosophy and psychology aspects related to explore answered these students buddhists religion theoretical issues such as the psychological motivation, and on this basis nay, extends to the religious areas, and ideological and political education in the new period the paths and methods, and puts forward some beneficial exploration in new period constantly strengthen and improve university students' religious education of some targeted countermeasures.
