The Research On Tongjia Characters In Typefamily Of Shi Ji And Han Shu

Typefamily of Shi Ji and Han Shu written by Lou Ji and later supplemented by Li Zeng bo mainly included different versions of Shi Ji and Han Shu and notes of different schools, which studied sounds and meanings and made a great contributions to the exploration of coined characters, borrowed characters and reading of ancient classics, Typefamily of Shi Ji and Han Shu is also indispensible in the research of traditional linguistics. However, few people has touched the aspects such as different versions, terminologies, formats, characters included, and the value of this book.The paper mainly studies"tong jia"characters which are included in Typefamily of Shi Ji and Han Shu by Lou Ji and Li Zeng bo in Song Dynasty with its focus on the version of Si Bu Cong Kan. Considering the complex situation of Typefamily of Shi Ji and Han Shu circulating currently, the thesis make a research into the origin and collections of Typefamily of Shi Ji and Han Shu in the version of Si Bu Cong Kan, on the basis of which, the thesis makes a further exploration into the terminologies and features of the "tong jia"characters included in Typefamily of Shi Ji and Han Shu with the findings of the literature study of Western Han and Eastern Han Dynasty and finally makes a simple comparison of the different versions with the expectation to have a full grasp of the value of Typefamily of Shi Ji and Han Shu in refined version.There is no one in the academical circle who has systematically studied the characters of Han Shu included in Typefamily of Shi Ji and Han Shu. The thesis tries to organize it systematically from the perspectives such as the circulation of the refined version, the compiled formats, the features of terminologies and the classified study of "tong jia"characters, aiming to explore the value of Typefamily of Shi Ji and Han Shu. we find rough analysis that the "tong jia" characters bearing relations in form account for a large part and they almost come into being between the phonograms or between the phonograms and characters bearing the same sound with the part of a character representing the sound which serve as a bond connecting "tong jia"characters.?in the end,the thesis will make a brief illustration of the defeciencies of Typefamily of Shi Ji and Han Shu.There is a diagram of "tong jia"characters and a diagram of two-syllable characters collected from Typefamily of Shi Ji and Han Shu. The former is systematically organized according to phonological system in the period of Pre-Qin, while the latter is mainly about the different expressions concerning names of persons, places, things.? the two diagrams are respectively arranged according to the volumes of the book in which the characters are edited.We make a further new exploration into the book's contribution to the traditional linguistics through the systematical organization of "tong jia"characters collected from Typefamily of Shi Ji and Han Shu. The thesis hold the point that the "tong jia" characters in Shi Ji and Han Shu included in Typefamily of Shi Ji and Han Shu reflect typical features of the time, and it contribute a lot to the perfection of the theory of "tong jia"In addition, it also shows its great importance in the research of characters, phonology, the explanation of words in ancient books,grammar,dialect,and textual criticism, with certain supplementary in the compiling of dictionaries.The composition of this thesis because of the complexity of the characters collected and versions of Typefamily of Shi Ji and Han Shu,various respects involved in the study of "tongjia" characters,very limited knowledge and capabilities of me, there are still many aspects waiting to be go into deep explorition,such as:the linguistic view toward characters by Lou Ji and Li Zeng bo,the original form of the characters collected and the reason of them collected in Typefamily of Shi Ji and Han Shu and so on.
