Study On Conjuction In DunHung Edition LiuzuTanjing

DunHuang edition Liuzu Tanjing, the Zen sayings, is an corpus of early morden Chinese, record the preaching contents of the Sixth Patriarch HuiNeng and the talks with his disciples. Liuzu Tanjing is the more reliable corpus in DunHung documents, the material in this book is trustworthy,its degree of spoken language is relatively high, besides representing the features as early local sutra itself, also can reflect the language features of early morden Chinese to a certain extent.As sutra,scholars mainly focus on the Zen thought, the edition origin, the content collating.And as an typital corpus of morden Chinese, researches on grammar are rare. Therefore,this paper select to target on the conjuction in Liuzu Tanjing, hoping to find out its basic features, then provide foundation and some reference to the study of morden Chinese grammar.This paper is divied into four chapters.Chapter one briefly introduce the purpose and meaning,the corpus selection and research statusquo of Liuzu Tanjing, as well as the definition and classification standard of conjuction. Chapter two and three is the study on conjuction in Liuzu Tanjing from two categories and nine subclasses, exhaustively descript them and analyze them synchronically and diachronically. Chapter four is the conclusion. on the basic of the front two chapters, we sums up the characteristics of the usage of conjunctions in Liuzu Tanjing as early morden Chinese corpus and early local sutra as well: It mainly continues one-syllable conjuction of ancient Chinese; The new conjuctions are all compound with two synonymous one-syllable conjunctions; Different expressions of conjuctions in different editions before and after, can reflect the interweavement or replacement among some conjuctions; Subjects of sentences in which conjuctions exsit are mostly omitted broughtforward or zero form, and sentences also mostly associated by parataxis,etc.
