The Research On Urban Sculptures Design Which Reflects The Local Culture

The 21st century is the century of the city, for China, in particular. China's urbanization process requires urban sculpture to enlarge the value of city in the visual recognition and innovative public space. Therefore, how to make our cities faster and better development of sculpture, become a very valuable research topic.Firstly, use the documentary research to analyze China's urban sculpture nearly 20 years of gains and losses, shows that the most essential problem is lack of cultural connotation. Secondly, Through qualitative analysis, the relationship between urban functional sculptures with urban public seats has been studied. It shows that the interaction of the two is mutual:"On the one hand local culture affects urban sculpture design's modeling, texture and color of choice; On the other hand urban sculpture make local culture delivered and developed." At the same time, using field survey methods to collect, summarize real cases on how does local culture to affect urban sculpture design to support the point. These cases are studied in Xi'an, Harbin, Tong ling, Zhu zhou and other domestic cities; Finally, using the Practice Methods to design sculpture, and try to expand the cultural context of China's Urban Sculpture, the study is further demonstrated.
