Objective: To explore distribution characteristics, influence factor and change law through data analysis and contrast of wound–related factors that may cause multiple trauma ,it may be provide a basis for making prevention strategies and measures by the government.Method: 1500 patients with multiple trauma who come from. China-Japan Friendship Hospital Emergency Department of Jilin University,during October 2009 ~ October 2010 were enrolled. General conditions, regional distribution, cause of injury, injury location, injury severity, injured in January, time of injury, injury environment, treatment time data of these patient were surveyed and analysized.Results: From a gender perspective, the number of man were more than woman, accounting for 77.30%,the ratio of male to female was approximately 3.4:1, further ,these accident more occurred in the 21-50 age, accounting for 60.67%.Drivers and migrant workers were a major injury group who were occupied 78.80%. Road traffic accidents and falls from a height were the main reason for injuries and often happened in 4~10 month. The accidents were more occurred at 6-8 pm and 15-18 am .In this period,the number of patients were up to 1123, accounting for 74.86%. There were significant differences between environment factors and gender, age, occupation, education level; the causes of injuries were significantly different from such factors as age,occupation, education level. there was no significant. Extent of injury was associated with occupation, education level, geographical distribution, cause of injury, the injured area, visiting time and environmental factors. Most patients from the city.Conclusion:1. The distribution characteristics of patients with multiple trauma was mainly men, young middle age, more common in drivers, migrant workers; injured patients came from urban, rural, urban fringe. The majority injuries come from traffic accidents. Injured parts mainly were skull, limbs, pelvis up. The causes of injury were road traffic accidents, falls from a height, emergencies,mostly cccurred in the traffic environment and public places, often happened at 6-8 pm and 15-18 am in 4~10 month..2. Men in the traffic environment and the workplace were more often occurred muitiple trauma,on the contrary women were usually injured in the home environment.Drivers mostly occurred multiple trauma in traffic environment . Migrant workers and workers with several injuries occupied larger proportion in the workplace. All ages in the traffic environment with multiple injuries that occurred more than other environmental3. All multiple trauma treatment must be in a timely manner, especially in severe multiple injuries within 24 hours .Head, limbs, pelvic were injuried severely4. Extent of injury was associated with occupation, education level, geographical distribution, cause of injury, the injured area, visiting time, injuries and environmental factors. Different injury levels in different occupation. The injure with worker, driver was severe. The higher the education level, the lesser the injury extent. Multiple injuries were severe from rural areas. The injury at site of head and neck, limbs, pelvic was severe. The more severe ,the shorter time to come hospital. Muitiple trauma in transport sites and workplace usually severe.5. The study shows that the majority of muitiple trauma is preventable and treatable. It is necessary to suggest the relevant departments in the region to conduct a large-scale epidemiological investigation and carry out effective prevention interventions.
