Objective: Percutaneous vertebroplasty bone cement into the balloon dilation method of treatment of osteoporotic compression fractures, observe the amount of bone cement injection and postoperative pain relief and quality of life (quality of life, QOL) to change the relationship. Methods: 62 patients with compression fractures randomized controlled observation, A group of 21 patients given bone cement 2ml; B group of 20 patients given bone cement 3ml; C group of 21 patients were given bone cement 4ml treatment, according with the VAS pain rating scale (visual analogue scale, VAS) and functional activities under the waist, barrier sheet (the oswestry low back pain disability questionnaire, OLBPDQ) the degree of pain relief from the evaluation of changes in QOL observed before treatment, treatment After 24 hours, 30 days respectively ratings. The statistical analysis of data measurement data using t test, count data using x2 test, the above data are used SPSS17.0 software between the statistical processing, to P<0.05 was considered statistically significant sign. Results: After treatment, 24 hours, 30 days Clinical evaluation of the disease; three groups of self-comparison before and after treatment were improved significantly (P<0.05); 30 days after treatment, three groups difference between the three groups was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusions: Percutaneous Balloon Kyphoplasty in the bone cement can be injected volume of approximately 3ml achieve good clinical efficacy.
