Objective: To analyze the clinical features and the prognostic factors of nasal NK/T-Cell lymphoma. Methods: From July 1994 to February 2009, 50 cases of nasal NK/T-Cell lymphoma were diagnosed and confirmed pathologically in our hospital. The blood lactic dehydrogenase(LDH), hemoglobin(Hb) were examined in these patients. The correlation between these factors and prognosis were analyzed by Kaplan-Meier method and Cox regression model with SPSS17.0 software. Results: Of the 50 patients, male to famale ratio was about 3:1. Their median age was 46(11~75) years. The number of the patients their age <60y was 76 percent, whose 5-year overall survival(OS) rates were 54.1 percent, and the 5-year OS rates of the patients age≥60y were 48.6 percent. Before treatment,90 percent patients had ECOG performance status(PS) score of 0~1, whose 5-year OS rates were 58.6%, and 5-year OS rates of those patients ECOG score≥2 were 0 percent. About 70 percent of the patients were in Ann ArborⅠ/Ⅱstage, whose 5-year OS rates were 70.6 percent, and 5-year OS rates of the patients stageⅢ-Ⅳwere 13.3 percent. 52 percent presented B symptoms, whose 5-year OS rates were 35.1 percent, and 5-year OS rates of the patients without B symptoms were 72.1 percent. 70 percent had International prognostic index (IPI) of 0 or 1, whose 5-year OS rates were 71.7 percent, and 5-year OS rates of the patients IPI≥2 were 13.3 percent. 22 percent presented perforation of hard palate and/or nasal septum, whose 5-year OS rates were 49.1 percent, and 5-year OS rates of the patients without perforation were 52.6 percent. 48 percent were treated with radiotherapy alone, whose 5-year OS rates were 33.6 percent, while 5-year OS rates of the patients treated with radiochemotherapy were 68.5 percent. Before treatment, 28 percent of the patients had anemia, whose 5-year OS rates were 28.6 percent, while 5-year OS rates of the patients without anemia were 59.7 percent. Before treatment, 78 percent of the patients had normal LDH leve, whose 5-year OS rates were 62.9 percent, while 5-year OS rates of the patients LDH>245U/L were 18.2 percent. The mortality was 46 %(23/50). The 1-, 3-, and 5-year OS rates were 74%,55%,53%, respectively. In univariate analysis, the prognosis of the patients was correlated with Ann Arbor stage, ECOG performance status, international prognostic index, B symptoms, LDH leval and treatment modality. In multivariate analysis, Ann Arbor stage, ECOG score and treatment modality were the independent prognostic factors. Conclusion: Ann Arbor stage, ECOG score before treatment and treatment modality may be independent prognostic factors for nasal NK/T-Cell lymphoma.
