Objcetive:To evaluate the diagnostic value of CT Colonography for Colorectal Cancer. Methods:We searched PubMed(1994to 2009), EMBASE(1994 to 2009), The Cochrane Library (Issue 3, 2009),CBMdisc(1994to 2009) and CNKI(1994 to 2009) to find all diagnostic tests about CT Colonography in Detection of Colorectal Cancer, also searched clinicaltrials register for ongoing studies and completed studies with unpublished data. The reference of included studies and relevant supplement or conference abstracts were handsearched. QUADAS items were used to evaluate the quality of the included studies. We used Meta-disc software for data collection, and sensitivity, specifi city and SROC curves were calculated to assess the diagnostic value of individual diagnostic tests. Results:Twenty-nine studies met the eligibility criteria and were included. Compared with arthroscope, the summary values of sensitivity, specifi city, and SROC curve of CT imaging were 58%, 85%, and 0.7905, respectively. Conclusions:CT colonography seems sufficiently sensitive and specific in the detection of large and medium cancer; it is especially sensitive in the detection of symptomatic cancer. Studies are poorly reported, however, and the authors propose a minimum data set for study reporting.
