Objective: 1.To calculate the median of maternal serum AFP and F-βHCG in pregnant women during the second trimester.2. To compare the positive rates and false-negative rates through MOM by two different methods.Method: 1. Analysis the data about maternal serum AFP and F-βHCG between 14~20 weeks gestation from2005,Jan.1st to 2007,Dec.31st ,then calculate the medium of AFP and F-βHCG in every pregnant week. 2.To detect maternal serum AFP and F-βHCG from Jan.1st to dec.31st in 2008,calculate their multiple of the medium(MOM) . 3. Compare the numerus of high risk women between the research group and compare group. 4. Compare the positive rates and false negative rates in two group through amniocentesis or followed till the baby 1 years old. Results: 1. The medium of maternal serum AFP and F-βHCG in pregnant women during second trimester in Nanchang city are higher than now we are using data .2. Maternal serum F-βHCG is high(≥2.5MOM) or AFP is low(≤0.5MOM) are considered have high risk in Down syndrome(DS) . Maternal serum AFP is high(≥2.5MOM)are considered have high risk in Neural tube defects(NTD). Compare the positive rates and false negative rates through two different MOM value in DS and NTD. There are statistical difference (P<0.01) in positive rates, but there are no statistical difference in false negative rates. Conclusions: 1. No matter in DS or NTD,we get the same result that the research group positive rate are higher than the compare group, there are statistical difference (P<0.01),while the two groups false negative rate are equal , there are no statistical difference.
