Objective:To explore the relevant factors of preoperative risks of elder patients (over 65 years old) with hip injuries, the preoperative preparation and evaluation, summary of the perioperative management and postoperative complications treatment, in order to improve the risk prediction for surgery. Methods:One hundred and twelve elder patients with hip injuries were retrospectively reviewed, who hospitalized by Hubei Chinese Medicine Hospital (Garden Montain Branch) and Guangzhou Military Area Wuhan General Hospital from November 2007 to November 2009. Find out the relevant factors of the postoperative complications of these patients, regard the complications set in or out as the parameters by Multiple Regression T-test to certify the significant difference of the statistics. Results:Through study postoperative complications, which was regarded as the standard of the operation efficacy of the elder patients with hip injurers, analyze and study influence of the age, gender and relevant 9 factors for the operation efficacy. The result showed the contents of hemoglobin lower than those of pre-operation, the contents of blood sugar were higher than those of pre-operation, and hemorrhage in operation, which had been certify the relevancy between postoperative complications and them, regard the complications set in or not as the parameter by T-test to certify the above three factors has the statistic significant differences Conclusion:The factors for the influence of operation efficacy are various and effect by each other. Through study postoperative complications set in or not, which is regarded as the standard of the operation efficacy of the elder patients with hip injurers, analyze and study influence of the age, gender and relevant 9 factors for the operation efficacy, and show the gender and age are not the absolute contradiction; however, to a certain extent, the preoperative detection results of hemoglobin and blood sugar reflect physical status of the elder patients, which is significant for operation risk prediction. We could make the best treatment for elder patients by treating the coexist diseases, improve their physical status, promote the perioperative management, prevent the complications, make an proper preoperative evaluation, the proper choice of operation time, the appropriate oxygenation and operation methods, so that to reduce the complications probability and improve the operation efficacy. The most of elder patients will be safe as long as we do the strictly preoperative examinations and internal medicine interventions.
