Objective:To investigate the prevalence of autism of children aged 1.5-3 year-old in Tianjin and their mental development situation and their early autism-related behaviors, detect the abnormal performance of children with autism in time and to explore the early signs of autism with a hope that clinicians could carry out early diagnosis and early intervention treatment. Methods:In accordance with the currently reported prevalence rate of childhood autism, we collected a total of 8428 children of 1.5 to 3 years old inTianjin for the study. Select children of 9 institutes of health in Tianjin using Stratified cluster Random Sample method, and screen all the children of 1.5-3 years old within its jurisdiction. The self drafted survey scale tool is the "development of child behavior questionnaire" which is based on CHAT. Children who is screening-positive entered the diagnostic procedures and conformed by professional clinicians. At the same time, use "Griffiths Mental Development Scales-Extended Revised" to comprehensively assess their mental development situation. Data collection and statistical analysis, descriptive analysis used to prevalence of reported,χ2 test was used to compare the rate, the separate chi-square and trend chi-square test was used to the rate of age groups compared, t test was used to the mean compared.Results:412 children were screening positive for a suspicious autism in 8274 children,5 children were obvious high-risk.22 cases were diagnosed with autism, the prevalence of autism is 26.6 per ten thousand,95%CI (15.5,37.7).The prevalence of autism for boys and girls were significant difference. Prevalence rate of boys is 41.9/ 10 000, girls prevalence is 10.1/10000."Increasing head circumference ", "No posing as the game", "No index pointing to light","No interested in children","Would not normally play with toys "," Would not show to others interested in things"and "refused to imitate "are may be early signs of autism, Which Suggest that we should pay attention to the problem of false positive screening; We can see stereotyped behaviors and interests of a narrow only in the individual patients.ABC scale showed that the girls'extent of barriers to social interaction is more serious than boys, ABC total score and physical function scores of Severe autism group are more than the mild and moderate group(P<0.05).Increased with the symptoms, physical function of the damage occurs gradually. The assessment results of GMDS-ER showed:The 16 children with autism all lie in the lower or the middle level s in the developmental levels of six areas and overall development.Development of autistic children is in the sport until the middle and upper level in the same age of children. They are poor in the field of their hand-eye coordination and performance, especially, in the field of language development area of is the worst.Compared to the age mental distribution of the different functional areas in suspicious positive children six age, we obtained:the fields of language and performance mental age are lower than the average mental age. The field of hand-eye coordination development quotient is the highest, followed by sports field development, the field of language and performance is the worst.Different areas of the same functional area developmental quotient increases with age showed a clear downward trend. Conclusion:The prevalence of autism of children aged 1.5-3 in Tianjin is 26.6 per ten thousand, higher than the other reported domestic level but in the average reported foreign level. Many early signs of autism were displayed by Children in the infantile and young period, Early language barrier, fine motor skills and visual tracking ability, the ability to imagine spatial thinking of autism children clearly lag behind other aspects of development, parents should pay enough attention to find these symptoms early in life.
