Objective The urinary lithiasis is the common and frequently encountered disease in the urinary system disease. The morbidity rate trend to be increased. In order to cure and prevent the recurrence of urinary lithiasis,it is important for the calculous patient to analyze the composition of the calculous and the risk factor about stone formation. With the application of the extracorporeal shock wave lithotripter(ESWL),the most part of the upper urinary tract stones could be cured by the ESWL. Analyzing the parameters of the calculous (include the composition, size, location et al) and the patients'dates (age, sex, morbidity time, hydronephrosis),to evaluate the curative effect of the ESWL, we could provide the treatment strategies and the dietary instruction for the patient.Materials and Methods:We collect 133 patient who were cured in our Urolithiasis Treatment Center at the time between October 2008 and October 2009. The patient all discharged stones successfully after the ESWL. We detected the composition of the stone samples by the infrared spectroscopy and discuss the risk factor and the prevention method of the most common calculis. Compare all the factors, we find the relationship between the stone free time and the patient' age, sex, morbidity time, hydronephrosis, the times of the ESWL, the composition, size, location of the ureteral stones. Results:Different stones show different maps after the detecting by the infrared spectroscopy. In all the samples'composition, the proportion of the calcium oxalate was 31.6%, the calcium oxalate+ calcium phosphate was 27.1%, the calcium oxalate + hydroxylapatite was 18.8%, the uric acid stones was 12.8%, the phosphate apatite was 9.8%, the proportion of the calculus contained calcium was 87.2%. The composition, size, location of the calculus, the cure times of the ESWL, and the total times of the attacking stones have a relationship with the stone free time, but the patient's age, sex, morbidity time can not affect it.Conclusions: In the all samples composition, by the single component, calcium oxalate was the most one,by the mixed component, the composition contained calcium was the most. By the stone free time after ESWL, the uric acid stone needed the shortest time, the calcium oxalate+ calcium phosphate needed the longest time. By the stone location, the lower ureter segment stones needed the shortest time, and the next was the upside ureter stones, the middle ureter stones need the longest time.By the size of the stones, the larger of the stone size, the longer time will the stone free time need.
