| Objective:The fatty acid composition is closely related to the development of coronary atherosclerosis,The aim of this study was to explore the the variations of concentration of involved fatty acids (14:0,16:0,18:0 and 18:1) of erythrocyte membrane in patients with atherosclerosis. Methods:To extract lipids from erythrocyte membrane of person with high risk of coronary heart disease(42 cases), patients with stable angina(40 cases) , patients with acute coronary syndrome(43 cases) and healthy individuals(51 cases) which were selected as control group rapidly with methanol and chloroform ,after methylation in alkaline process and purified by thinlayer chromatography. The fatty acid methylesters were analyzed by gas chromatography with the capillary of 100 mm×0.25 mm.Results:14:0,16:0 and 18:0 fat acids (belong to saturated fatty acid)from erythrocyte membrane were lower in control group than those of other groups(P <0.01), while 18:1 fat acid (belong to monounsaturated fatty acid) from erythrocyte membrane was higher in control group than that of other groups(P <0.01). 14:0,16:0,18:0 and 18:1 fat acids from erythrocyte membrane have no significant differences between high risk of coronary heart disease group and stable angina group (P >0.05), in contrast, 14:0,16:0,18:0 and 18:1 fat acids from erythrocyte membrane have significant differences between acute coronary syndrome group and the rest three groups(P <0.01).Conclusion:14:0,16:0,18:0 and 18:1 fat acid from erythrocyte membrane are significantly contacted with the development of coronary atherosclerosis, espcailly, in patients with acute coronary syndrome, which are significant changes. |
