Object To screening the antibacterial effective fraction of Myricaria alopecuroides Schrenk and study its chemical constituents. To apply the theory foundation for QC and further exploiting. Methods Cylinder-plate method was employed to study the antibacterial activity of Myricaria alopecuroides Schrenk. Chemical constituents were isolated and purified by solvent method and column chromatography (silica gel, Sephadex LH-20, macroporous resin HP-20).Structures of the compounds were elucidated on the basis of spectral analysis (MS,1H-NMR,13C-NMR, DEPT, and 2D-NMR) and comparison with literature data. Results Twelve compounds were isolated. Eleven compounds were identified as:ellagic acid 3,3',4-trimethylether (â… ), ellagic acid 3,3'-dimethylether (â…¡), isorhamnetin (â…¢), kaemferol (â…£),3,5-dihydroxy-4-methoxybenzoic acid (â…¤), daucosterol (â…¥),6,7,10-trihydroxy-8-octadecenoic acid (â…¦), quercetin (â…§), gallic acid(â…¨), palmitic acid (â…ª), hexadecanoic acid,2,3-dihydroxypropyl ester (â…«). Conclusion compoundâ… ,â…¡,â…¢,â…£,â…¤,â…¥,â…¦,â…©,â…ª,â…«were isolated from this plant for the first time. Among them, compoundâ… ,â…¡,â…¤,â…¦,â…©,â…ª,â…«were obtained from this genus for the frist time.
