ObjectiveTo investigate the role of systematic immunity in the pathogenesis of recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis, detect the level of interleukin-12(IL-12),interleukin-4(IL-4) and interferon-gamma(IFN-r) in the vaginal secretions of vulvovaginal candidiasis patients, and to analyse their relationship with the pathogenesis of vulvovaginal candidiasis. With a detailed study, immunotherapy is expected to be the most effective and most promising cure for recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis.MethodsPatients selected from Dermatology department, based on clinical symptoms and fungal examination were divided into control group,15 cases,15 cases of orginial VVC and recurrent VVC group of 15 cases,45 cases in total.Use alkaline phosphatase-anti-alkaline phosphatase(APAAP) to detect T lymphocyte,CD4+and CD8+cells of those 45 patients.Get vaginal discharge, smear, culture and identification. The expression level of IL-12,IL-4,and IFN-y in the vaginal secretions from vulvovaginal candidiasis patients were detected by ELISA and compared with that from normal controls. The results were analysed by the statistical software of SPSS 11.5.Results:â‘ CD4+T lymphocytes in original and recurrent VVC groups was lower than that of normal control group. And CD8+T lymphocytes in original and recurrent VVC groups was higher than that of normal control group, and ratio of CD4+/CD8+inversed.There was no significant difference of CD4+, CD8+in both original and recurrent VVC groups was found.â‘¡The level of IL-12 in these three groups was significantly and respectively higher than IL-4 in these three groups. And the level of IL-12 in original VVC group was the highest, while no significant difference in IFN-y between recurrent and original group and original group was found, and yet higher the normal control group. Conclusion:Peripheral blood T cell subsets reflect the immune status of original vulvovaginal candidiasis and recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis patients. And certain immune deficiencies were found in the patitents of recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis.Thltype and Th2type cytokines may be associated with abnormal expression of morbidity and vulvovaginal candidiasis recurrence. And not only did Thl and Th2 cell-mediated immune responses play a different effect in the host defense but also was involved in different immune pathological processes. |
