A Study On The Expression Between The Serum Levels Of SCD40L And VEGF In Acute Myeloid Leukemia

Objective:To detect the expression of serum soluble CD40 ligand (sCD40L) and Vascular endothelial cell growth factor (VEGF) in Acute myeloid leukemia(AML) patients and to explore the relationship between the expression and occurrence, development and prognosis of AML. Methods:The levels of sCD40L and VEGF were tested by ELISA method in serum of 34 AML patients (including 31 newly diagnosed cases,3 relapsed cases) and 20 control groups.Results:1.The level of serum sCD40L(121.75±67.94 pg/ml) in AML patients was lower than that of control groups (708.50±263.22 pg/ml),P<0.0, the level of serum sCD40L in the before-chemotherapy groups(121.75±67.94 pg/ml)was lower than the after-chemotherapy groups (332.77±87.20 pg/ml), P<0.01. The level of serum VEGF in the AML patients (54.96±24.92 pg/ml) was higher than control groups (13.54±4.16 pg/ml), P<0.01,the level of VEGF in the before-chemotherapy groups(54.96±24.92 pg/ml) was higher than the after-chemotherapy groups(21.47±8.80 pg/ml),P<0.01. 2.there was no distinction between the level of sCD40L in the invalid groups (135.13±82.58pg/ml) and valid groups (155.04±71.55 pg/ml), P>0.05. The level of VEGF in the invalid groups (55.71±33.09 pg/ml)was higher than valid groups(24.52±5.97 pg/ml), P<0.01. 3.There was no obvious difference between the level of sCD40L in high-WBC groups(117.3±83.50pg/ml)and low-WBC groups (135.17±81.18 pg/ml) in AML patients, P>0.05. The level of VEGF in high-WBC groups (47.94±22.88 pg/ml)was higher than low-WBC groups(25.83±6.67 pg/ml),P<0.01. 4.There was no correlation between the level of sCD40L and VEGF in AML patients (r=-0.009, P>0.05). Conclusions:1.The level of serum sCD40L in AML patients was lower than that of control groups, and the level of serum sCD40L in the after- chemotherapy groups was higher than the before-chemotherapy groups. Which indicates that it has value of further research.2. The level of serum VEGF in AML may be correlation with occurrence, development and prognosis of AML.3. The expression of sCD40L and VEGF was no correlation in AML. Which indicates that it may be more regulation of cells and moleculars involving in the regulation and control in development of AML.
