A Study Of The Relation Between The Lymph Node Metastasis And Expression Of VEGF And Nm23-H1 In The Non-small Cell Lung Cancer

Objective:To study the relationship between lymph node metastasis and the expression of VEGF(vascular endothelial growth factor) and nm23-H1(non-metastatic gene 23-H1) in the non-small cell lung cancer (Non-small cell lung cancer NSCLC),Appraised whether VEGF and nm23-H1 do take the non-small cell lung cancer prognosis of predictorsMethods:Using immunohistochemical staining on cryosections to detect VEGF and nm23-H1 expression on the 20 primary tumor tissues, of non-small cell lung cancer and 20 cases of non-neoplastic lung lesions and analyze the relationship between VEGF and nm23-H1 gene expression and lymph node metastasis of non-small cell lung cancer. Results:1.We examed 20 cases of non-small cell lung cancer and 20 cases of non-neoplastic lung lesions,found VEGF positive expression rate of 65%(13/20) and 15% (3/20), there are differences between the two groups (X2=10.417,P<0.05); 20 patients of non-small cell lung cancer and 20 cases of non-neoplastic lung lesions,found nm23-H1 positive expression rate of 65%(13/20) and 10%(2/20),there are differences between the two groups (X2= 12.907, P<0.05).2. VEGF expression pattern was associated with nm23-H1 (p<0.05, correlation coefficient r=0.4742).3. VEGF and nm23-H1 expression were associated with lymph node metastasis (P<0.05);It was irrelevant among expression of VEGF and/or nm23-H1, and the pathological type, and cell differentiation, and TNM staging (P> 0.05). Conclusion:lymph node metastasis of non-small cell lung ancer might be related to of VEGF and nm23-H1 expression in primary tumor tissues.Detection of VEGF, nm23-H1 expression will help to determine non-small cell lung cancer metastatic potential and prognosis.
