Bulbus Lily(Lilium brownii) were dry fleshy scale leaves of liliaceous plant like L.lanafoliumThunb, L.long orumThunb and L.pumilumDo. Bulbus Lily is not only a kind of valuable vegetable, but also famous bulbous plant and tonic. Like other plant polysaccharides, bulbus Lily polysaccharide has a widespread pharmacological action, including antioxidative, antineoplastic, antidiabetic and immunomodulation.By reviewing three different methods of deproteinization with rate of removal of protein and lossing rate of polysaccharide, it was found that method whicih combining enzymolysis and! Sevag removes protein effectively. It was also found that the rate of removal of this very method was higher than that of Sevag, meanwhile, lossing rate of polysaccharide was lower. So it is a comparatively ideal method for deproteinization. Study the transmittance of Bulbus Lily polysaccharide purified by ultrafiltration, it was found that process conditions with pressure of 0.2Mpa and ultrafiltration of 90min were fairly good, and on these conditions, the final sample contains 82.7% of Bulbus Lily polysaccharide, compared by 90.1% of Bulbus Lily polysaccharide when sample was purified by D-101 macroporous resins.Inhibition of extractive of Bulbus Lily polysaccharide varies to six tested food. Inhibition was most intense to the Staphylococcus aureus Roenbach, whose inhibition zone has a diameter of 7.75mm. Inhibition of extractive of Bulbus Lily polysaccharide to Saccharomyces carlsbergengensis Hansen and Aspergillus niger V.Tiegh were even, whose inhibition zone has a diameter of 4.25mm. Inhibition of extractive of Bulbus Lily polysaccharide to Rhizopus chinensis was less obvious, whose inhibition zone has a diameter of 3.25mm. There is no inhibition of extractive of Bulbus Lily polysaccharide to Escherichia coli Castellaniet and Bacillus subtilis Cohn.
