| Objective:the purpose of this study is to investigate the paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia patients'pre and post Radio frequency Catheter Ablation anxiety and depression as well as their quality of life, and analyze the factors that impact patients'anxiety, depression, quality of life before radiofrequency catheter ablation.Methods.-applying the non-randomized prospective observational study toward 286 patients of certain reading comprehension, hospitalized in Three Afflicated XIANGYA Hospital between May to December in 2009 because of paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia, with indications of radiofrequency catheter ablation, no contraindications, voluntary participated in this research and with intention to do receive radiofrequency catheter ablation for their first time. The questionnaire included the general data sheet, the SAS, SDS, and SF-36. Database was established by EPIDATA software. and SPSS16.0 software was adopted for the material descriptive analysis, including T-test, chi-square test, multiple linear regressions.Results:1. overall anxiety and depression scores for the 286 patients pre and post radiofrequency catheter ablation①Pre-operative anxiety score ranged of 25.00-75.00, average 48.18±10.81;Post-operative anxiety score ranged of 25.00±72.50, average 36.78±8.41,both were higher than the national norm (29.78±10.07). Comparison of anxiety pre and post surgery was statistically significant(p<0.001).②pre-operative depression score ranged of 23.75-70.00,average 45.49±11.21;Post-operative depression score ranged of 25.00-65.00,average 39.72±10.18. The pre-operative depression score was higher than the national norm (41.88±10.57).Depression scores pre and post surgery comparison showed statistically significance (p<0.001).2. Pre and post radiofrequency catheter ablation anxiety and depression occurrence rate of the 286 patients:The pre-operative anxiety, depression, anxiety and depression co-existence rate were 41.26%,29.72%,22.73% respectively; post-operative anxiety, depression, anxiety and depression co-existence rate were 6.64%,12.59%,4.90% respectively; the pre and post operation anxiety, depression, anxiety and depression co-occurrence rate were all of statistically significance (p<0.001)。3. Factors affected patients'anxiety score before radiofrequency catheter ablation included monthly family income, preoperative depression score, marital status and nationality; Factors affected patients'depression score before radiofrequency catheter ablation included preoperative anxiety score, marital status, age and nationality.4. Present quality of life for Supraventricular tachycardia patient after radiofrequency catheter ablation:quality of life scores in each dimension for 286 patients of supraventricular tachycardia after radiofrequency catheter ablation comparison was statistically significant (P<0.001). Factors affected patients'quality of life before radiofrequency catheter ablation included pre and post-operative anxiety and depression score, monthly family income as well as occupation.Conclusion:1.There are high incidence of pre-radio frequency catheter ablation anxiety and depression among paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia patients.2. RFCA can improve the paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia patients'quality of life.3.Anxiety and depression are the main fators affect the PVST patients' quality of life. |
