| ObjectiveTo determine the expression of insulin-like growth factor-Ⅱ(IGF-Ⅱ) and proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA)in the uterine leiomyoma, and to investigate the role of IGF-Ⅱand PCNA in the pathogenesis of uterine leiomyoma.MethodsImmunohistoehemical method was employed to detect the expression of IGF-Ⅱin the uterine leiomyoma, the tissues beside hysteromyoma and the normal myometrium, the same methods to detect the expression of PCNA.Result1.The expression of IGF-Ⅱ:The positive expression rates in the uterine leiomyoma, the tissues beside hysteromyoma and the normal myometrium were 60%,16.67%,10%.There were siginificant differences between the uterine leiomyoma, the tissues beside hysteromyoma and the normal myometrium (P=0.000). The expression of IGF-Ⅱin the uterine leiomyoma was significantly higer than the tissues beside hysteromyoma and the normal myometrium(x2=11.915,12.500; P= 0.001和0.000). There was no significant difference for Positive expression of IGF-Ⅱbetween the tissues beside hysteromyoma and the normal myometrium (x2=0.443, P=0.506).2. The expression of PCNA:The positive expression rates in the uterine leiomyoma, the tissues beside hysteromyoma and the normal myometrium were 83.3%,26.7%,20%,.There were significant differences between the uterine leiomyoma, the tissues beside hysteromyoma and the normal myometrium (P=0.000). The expression of PCNA in the uterine leiomyoma was significantly higer than the tissues beside hysteromyoma and the normal myometriumχ2= 19.461,19.759; P=0.000). There was no significant difference for Positive expression of PCNA between the tissues beside hysteromyoma and the normal myometrium (x2=0.292, P=0.589)3.The expression of IGF-II and PCNA was positive correlation, (rs=0.55, P<0.05).Conelusion1.The high expression of IGF-Ⅱand PCNA in uterine leiomyoma indicates IGF-Ⅱand PCNA are related with the development of the uterine leiomyoma.2.The positive correlation between IGF-Ⅱand PCNA suggest that IGF-Ⅱrelated with cell proliferation and this relationship maybe one of the etiology of the Uterine leiomyoma. |
