Standardization Management Study Of Hypertension In Jincheng Coal Mining Croup Corporation Limited Department Community

Objective In order to know well the status of hypertension prevalence, awareness, treatment and control of the residents in the Jincheng coal mining group corporation limited department community. To understand the main risk factors of hypertension of the residents in the community. To provide the references for the effect evaluation of the standardization treatment in the community.Methods According to the item demand of health department's standardization treatment of hypertension in whole nation, a survey was made among the population of Jincheng coal mining group corporation limited department community from the April of 2008 to the April of 2009, using the universal method. A total of 5116 adults (2487 males and 2629 females), aged 18 and over, were examined. The blood pressure measurements were obtained by trained professionals by use of a standardized mercury sphygmomanometer tested to be regular. Information on history of hypertension and use of antihypertensive medications was obtained by use of a national hypertension community standardization management case. To develop the health education about hypertension among the residents in the community, the convalescence direction of hypertension patients, the standard classification management and the follow-up and monitoring for a year. The data was input in Epidata3.02 software, and SPSS 17.0 software was used to carry out statistics.Results Overall,23.3% of the Jincheng coal mining group corporation limited department community adults aged 18 years and over had hypertension, among which, the male prevalence was 23.8%,and the female prevalence was 22.7%,which were no different between them(P>0.05). The prevalence rate of hypertension was increased with the increasing of the age in both males and females. Overall,67.3% of those with hypertension were aware of their diagnosis,45.9% were taking medication to lower their blood pressure, and 21.9% achieved blood pressure control. According to statistics analysis, age, education level, family history, hyperlipidemia, diabetes mellitus, body mass index, waist circumference, exercise, salt intake etc were significant in statistics with the prevalence of hypertension. By standardly managing 613 patients by the community-based pattern for a year, had observably increased awareness, treatment and control rate of hypertension. A part of bad behaviors were more improved.Conclusion The present study showed that the prevalence rate of hypertension in Jincheng coal mining corporation limited department community adults aged 18 years and over was 23.3%.It was higher than national level (18.8%). The real level was lower than this level because most of the 18-23-year-old residents in Jincheng coal mining group corporation limited department community go to school in the other parts of country more. The awareness, treatment and control rate of hypertension were higher than national level in. By standartly managing 613 patients by the community-based pattern, had observably increased awareness, treatment and control rate of hypertension. A part of bad behaviors were more improved. The present study showed that the hypertension community standardization management was effective. The present study will provide use for reference for other chronics standardization management in Jincheng coal mining group corporation limited department community.
