The Influence Of Bcg/ppd On Clinical Symptoms And Lung Function In Asthma Of Children

Objectives To observe the effect of Bacillus Calmette-Guerin vaccine and purfied protein derivatives tuberculin on the control level and lung function of asthmatic children.To provid theoretical basis for the prevention and treatment of asthma.Methods Pick out 68 asthma children randomly from our asthma clinic,which is 5 to 14 years old, whose PPD test results were negative, divided randomly into BCG/PPD group and contrast group.Every children was evaluated the severity of asthma before enrolled.The BCG/PPD group was given the intervention of BCG/PPD and conventional treatment,the non-intervention group was given conventional treatment only. 10 healthy children were taken as normal contrast group.Every children were detected lung function and evaluated the severity of asthma at 0 month. Clinic control level was comprehensively evaluated by daytime symptoms, night symptoms, activity limitation , lung function and the use of relief drugs. The lung function was comprehensively evaluated by VC MAX,FVC,FEV1,FEV1/FVC,PEF(%),FEF25,FEF 50 and FEF75. The BCG/PPD group was given vaccination of BGC and conventional treatment.PPD test was used to examine the results of the vaccination.The children whom vaccinated successfully would be injected 5 units PPD subcutaneousely every month. The contrast group was given conventional treatment only.The clinical control level was evaluated at every month,and given corresponding treatment.The PEF(%)/lung function , clinical symptoms and clinical control level of intervention group and non-intervention group were evaluated at 3th and 6th month.Results (1)The results of clinic symptoms and control level: The BCG/PPD group's daytime symptoms, night symptoms, activity limitation,clinic controlled number had statistical significance compared with the non-intervention group(P<0.05)at 3th month. The BCG/PPD group's night symptoms, the improvement of PEF(%) and clinic controlled number had statistical significance compared with the non-intervention group(P<0.05)at 6th month.(2)The results of lung function:The lung function of two groups at 3th and 6th month had statistical significance(P<0.05)compared with before treatment. The PEF(%) of BCG/PPD group at 3th month had statistical significance(P<0.05)compared with non-intervention group. The lung function of BCG/PPD group at 6th month had statistical significance(P<0.05)compared with non-intervention group. Conclusions (1)Adding BCG/PPD on the basis of conventional treatment could improve asthma children's clinic symptoms.(2)Adding BCG/PPD on the basis of conventional treatment could improve asthma children's lung function,and could improve asthma children's lung function persistently in 6 months.
