Object: To evaluate the perioperative risk and preventive measures in elderly patients with femoral neck fractures. According to the specific features of patients, reasonable and effective prevention and treatment measures should be developed in order to reduce the perioperative risk and achieve the best anticipated target, which make elderly patients with femoral neck fractures safely go through perioperative period. Methods: This paper was to analyse the influence of the surgical approach on the 131 elderly patients aged 70 years and older from Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Division of Bones and Joints who were treated by a artificial joint replacement via observational study. Analyze the distribution of the risk factors, such as preoperative gender, age, preoperative coexist disease, ASA preoperative scores, the operation time, anesthesia, blood transfusion way, and complications. Meanwhile, make a research on preoperative coexist disease and postoperative complications and some perioperative common diseases. Analyze the relevancy of complications and surgery factors by using statistical software SPSS.Results: There were 131 patients in this paper, including 36 male and 95 female. 43 patients developed coexist disease, compared with 88 who did not suffer. 76 patients implemented the surgery within 3 days, compared with 55 patients who were beyond 3 days. 84 patients adopted epidural anesthesia, compared with 47 patients adopted spinal and epidural anesthesia.35 patients did not have blood transfusion. Complication rate in femoral neck fracture patients was 39.7%.As preoperative gender, age, preoperative coexist disease, ASA preoperative scores, the operation time, anesthesia, blood transfusion way, and complications were compared, statistical calculations showed that there were no significant link among them(P>0.5). The occurrence of the preoperative coexist disease and postoperative complications showed that there were significant differences (P<0.5).Conclusion: Among elderly patient, treatment with a artificial joint replacement was associated with an complex risk of femoral neck fracture. Therefore, the accurate prevention and treatment did appear to reduce the perioperative risk of femoral neck fracture. The postoperative complication in elderly femoal neck fracture patients is associated with preoperative complications. Furthermore, patient with postoperative complication donot have link with other elements, such as gender, age, surgery, and anesthesia, ect.
