Isodon species is widely distributed in the world,especially in China .A water extract of its air part had been reputed to have important pharmacological action , the most notable being anticancer and anti-inflammatory activity. In order to clarify the curative effectual components in this kind of plants, the people have studied the chemical components of Ampelopsis of different species since last decade. The flavonoid such as ent-kauranoids and flavone was mainly reported. The ampelopsis on studing were mainly on eriocalyx, sculponeata and rubescens.In the dissertation, the rubescens in Exi was studied as the target. It's chemical components were studied for two steps.The plant material was extracted with 90% ethanol.Then,the extract was concentrated under reduced pressure,and the viscous concentrate was partitioned by L.P. ,EtOAc and BuOH successively. The viscous extracts of EtOAc were separated on silica gel column and HPLC for times.Finally,14 compounds were yielded.On the basis of spectroscopic analysis and chemical evidences,13 compounds'structures were elucidated as rubescensin A (1), Lasiokaurin (2),p-hydroxybenzaldehyde (3),dibutyl phthalate (4), 5-hydroxy -3',4',6,7- tetramethoxyflavone(5),5-hydroxy-3',4',7-trimethoxyflavone(6), 4',5,7-trimethoxyflavone (7),odonicin (8), di-iso-butyl ortho-phthalate (9),oleanolic acid (10),ursonic acid (11),maslinic acid (12),1α,6β,7β,11β,15β-pentahydroxy-7α,20-epoxy-ent-kaur-16-ene (13),the structure of compound 14 has not identified finally.
