| Objective To compare deep venous pressure calf muscle pump and valve function recovery before and after surgery in patients with primary deep venous insufficiency(PDVI) through measuring ambulatory venous pressure(AVP).Methods From March 2009 to 2010, 82 patients with primary deep venous insufficiency, ambulatory venous pressure were measured and compared before and after surgery.Results Compare the preoperative and the postoperative static venous pressure(P0) (left leg: 129.54cmH2O vs 129.46 cmH2O; right limb: 128.06 cmH2O vs 127.78 cmH2O), the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05). There was significant difference in post-exercise venous pressure(Pmin) (left leg: 77.57cmH2O vs 51.71cmH2O; right limb: 76.27 cmH2O vs 48.90 cmH2O), before and after surgery. Significant difference were found post-exercise venous pressure recovery time(RT90) (left leg: 8.77cmH2O vs 18.68cmH2O; right limb: 8.81 cmH2O vs 18.99 cmH2O) before and after surgery.Conclusions Static venous pressure were not affected after surgery. calf muscle pump function improved significant after surgery, deep venous function recovered after surgery. |
