Objective:to observe the clinical effect of stasis-dissolving, phleqm-reducing and turbid-expelling therapy on old age dyslipidemia patients.Methods:78 patients aged≥65 years old with Dyslipidemia were randomly divided into two groups:treatment group 40 cases and control group 38 cases. Both groups were treated with simvastatin (Zocor) 20mg, orally at bedtime; treatment group on this basis to give Stasis-dissolving, Phleqm-reducing and Turbid-expelling therapies orally.2 groups of treatment for 16 weeks. Both Were tested before treatment and the first 16 weeks of lipid levels after treatment, carotid artery IMTand determine clinical efficacy. Results:Before treatment, both groups of gender, age, body mass index, underlying diseases, blood lipid levels, Dyslipidemia classification, symptoms of carotid artery IMT and TCM syndrome score had no statistical significance (P> 0.05);After 16 weeks of treatment, triglyceride (TG), total cholesterol (TC), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C),apolipoprotein Al (Apo-Al) levels obviously improved compared with before (P<0.05),apolipoprotein B (Apo-B),lipoprotein (a) (LP (a)) had no significant changes before treatment (P>0.05);Compared with the control group, the treatment group is better in the serum lipids level (P<0.05); after treatment, two groups of neck vascular atherosclerotic plaque thickness no obvious difference(P>0.05). Clinical effects of the two groups, from the laboratory parameters: the treatment group total efficiency is 91.89%, the control group total efficiency is 80.00%, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); from traditional Chinese medicine symptoms, the treatment group total effectiveness 94.59%, the comparison group total effectiveness 68.57%, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion:Stasis-dissolving.Phleqm-reducing and Turbid-expelling therapies can improve lipid metabolism with old age dyslipidemia patients, and can significantly improve clinical symptom.
