OBJECTIVETo investigate the features of patients with systemic sclerosis(SSc) of different gender in clinic and laboratory examinations.METHODSThe clinical manifestations and laboratory findings of 19 male SSc patients were analyzed and compared with 33 female patients.RESULTSThe rate of diffuse scleroderma in male SSc patients was higher than that in female ones(73.68% vs.30.30%, P<0.01). The male SSc patients are more common to have proteinuria(50.00% vs.22.58%, P< 0.05), high level of LDH(50.00% vs.21.21%, P< 0.05); meanwhile, the male SSc patients were less likely to have sausage-like fingers(36.84% vs.66.67%, P<0.05), RF positive rate (O.vs.28.00%, P<0.05), ANA positive rate(57.89% vs.87.10%, P< 0.05),ENA positive rate(43.75% vs.74.19%, P< 0.05).
