Obejctive:To study the factors such as the size, the morphology and pathological type of colorectal polyps in affecting the treatment methods under endoscopy.Methods:418 patients were undergoing removal of colorectal polyps with colonoscopy. Summerize and retrospectively analize the size, the morphology and pathological type of 583 colorectal polyps and their endoscopic treatment methods. Results:There were 583 colorectal polyps extirpated from 418 patients.72 were non-tumor polyps including 41 protruded polyps which were removed by hot forceps or snarepolypectomy and 31 flat type or depressed type polyps among them 3 were extirpated by endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR). Among tumorous polyps 402 were protruded polyps in which 388 polyps were removed by hot forceps or snarepolypectomy and 14 polyps were extirpated by EMR. There were 109 tumorous flat or depressed types polyps among which 80 polyps were removed by hot forceps or snarepolypectomy,27 polyps were extirpated by EMR and 2 polyps were extirpated by endoscopic submucosaldissection (ESD). Among 8 early carcinomas,3 polyps were removed by snarepolypectomy,4 were extirpated by EMR and 1 was by ESD.1 polyp was submucosal tumor which was extirpated by ESD and was diagnosed carcinoid tumor by postoperative pathology. Conclusions:Comprehensive analyzing the colorectal polyps in size, morphology, pathological type and other factors has a guiding significance for physicians to select the appropriate endoscopic treatment.
