Pituitary adenoma was the most common disease of sellar region lesions in clinic. Because of the various clinical presentations between non-functional and all kinds of functional pituitary adenomas, the various imaging features like apoplexy and adenoma's cystolization, a correct diagnosis from the other sellar region lesions before operation was not easy but important, as it leading to an appropriate treatment directly. This article reviewed clinic presentation, images along with age and gender of all the patients undergoing operations for sellar region lesions from January 2008 through December 2010 in our department, attempting to minimize the misdiagnosis of sellar region lesions.
