Studies On Hypoglycemic Materials Of Gynura Divaricata

Gynura divaricata (L.) DC. is an important folk medicine. The leaf of Gynura divaricata is a commonly tea for reducing blood glucose. It could significantly decrease the blood glucose of diabetic patient.In order to further develop Gynura divaricata, the content of total flavonoids,total triterpenoids and total sterols were determined ,the effect of reducing the blood glucose in the model animals of flavonoids and total Polysaeeharides that were extracted,isolated and purified was studied,the preparing technique and the quality standards of Gynura divaricata capsules were established,the content of nicotiflorin,astragulin,kaempferol and total flavonoids were determined by HPLC and spectrophotometric method, respectively.The results are as follows :1The method which could determined the content of total flavonoids,total triterpenoids and total sterols was established,it is simple and can be used to them with satisfactory accuracy and reproducibility.2 The extractions had obvious glucose-lowering effect ,increasing weight ,improving OGTT and blood serum insulin of diabetic mice and T2DM rats in all the groups, and it showed some time-effectiveness relationship.3 The preparing technique and the quality standards of Gynura divaricata capsules were established,the method is simple and can be used to quality determination with satisfactory accuracy and reproducibility.4 The method to determine the content of nicotiflorin,astragulin,kaempferol and total flavonoids respectively by HPLC and spectrophotometric was established and it was scientific for quality controlling of Gynura divaricata.
