Comparative Study Against Chinese Medical Syndrome Of Adenomyosis And Endometriosis

Objectives:Through cross-sectional epidemiological survey in patients with adenomyosis to further validate and reveal the distribution of TCM against different condition of adenomyosis. Compare the conditions (Dysmenorrhea, Irregular menstruation and Infertility) and the distribution of TCM Syndrome between Adenomyosis with Endometriosis to seek their intrinsic association and get the basis for setting up Individualized treatment plan against different condition of them. It is also trying to get some idea against how to treat Adenomyosis with traditional Chinese medicine.Methods:(1)Understand the basic situation of adenomyosis' major TCM through the early literature research. Develop detailed "survey table of TCM distribution against different condition of the Syndrome" and survey guide based on extensive literature review combined with expert opinion; (2), cross-sectional epidemiological survey carried out to establish the database of TCM against different condition of Adenomyosis; (3), Inductive Statistics performed on the database with SPSS11.0 software. All symptoms, tongue, pulse and other items were transformed into dichotomous variables (0,1). Descriptive statistical analysis performed on other information. After that, frequency analysis, cluster analysis, non-parametric test are performed on the all collected TCM mode.(4)the sstatistical results will be compared with TCM distribution of Endometriosis and different condition.Results:(1)There have five types TCM among 186 adenomyosis patients: "Qi stagnation kidney (positive) imaginary and phlegm; kidney (positive) imaginary Hanning Blood; kidney (positive) imaginary Hanning qi; kidney (Yang, gas) and air stagnation virtual kidney qi stagnation (Yin and Yang) deficiency syndrome.'They are similar to the Syndrome that listed on Authoritative literature except typical Excess heat, damp syndrome (2) Adenomyosis and Endometriosis mostly occur in women of childbearing age, but the incidence rate will be decreased along with the age increasing. Secondly, the risk will be higher to catch this kind of disease for those highly educated persons. Thirdly, comparative study on different medical conditions found the incidence of Dysmenorrhea and menstrual abnormalities occurred on Patients with Adenomyosis is significantly higher than who are with Endometriosis, but infertility patients'ratio of Endometriosis is obviously higher than that of Adenomyosis. (3) Compare TCM symptoms between adenomyosis and endometriosis found that Blood stasis syndrome kidney has high ratio for both of them. (4) The common syndromes of adenomyosis and endometriosis patients hasn't obvious correlation with age, education and number of abortions.Conclusions:(1)Age factors reflect ovarian function playing an important role in pathogenesis of endometriosis and adenomyosis; the risk will be higher to catch this kind of disease for those highly educated persons; comparative study on different medical conditions found the incidence of Dysmenorrhea and menstrual abnormalities occurred on Patients with Adenomyosis is significantly higher than who are with Endometriosis, but infertility patients' ratio of Endometriosis is obviously higher than that of Adenomyosis.. (2)Although the Symptoms of the disease are different for Adenomyosis and endometriosis, they have many same common factors in Etiology and Pathogenesis and their common symptoms are all Qi deficiency and blood stasis.
